If you want to sell your parts, you need to find the right customers.
One outlet for used parts is the local newspaper's classified section. Run an ad and see what happens. Selling parts from your isn't going to make you a lot of money, but it beats just leaving them on the as it's towed to the junkyard. You can also sell your parts by word of mouth. You never know what can happen.
If you can't sell your parts through the normal venues, you're going to have to be creative. If you've got parts that are worth some money, and in excellent condition, try putting a note on community bulletin boards in stores, the library,
or wherever you can put one up. Online bulletin boards for your area are also good places to list parts for sale. If you post your name, number, city, and your make and model year, you might connect with a mechanic who's been searching for your exact item. If your parts are the only ones around, you can make some good money.
Aside from all of the above, the first place to find someone who would buy these parts would be at your local junkyard. Yards make their money by taking apart the cars that they have, and by selling them. Most yards do it on the side, but a few have made a million-dollar business out of it. Junk yards usually buy the whole dirt cheap and then part it out themselves, as customers come looking for a carburetor, radiator, set of brakes, or whatever else the customer may need. If there's a demand for your model year and the junkyard doesn't have any in, the junkyard might do business with you.
